About GMPartPro

GMPartPro is a genuine-GM-parts reference built by someone who spent 17 years inside GM dealership parts operations — behind the parts counter, running wholesale parts ecommerce, and working daily in GM’s electronic parts catalog (EPC). This isn’t generic auto-parts content; it’s written from the counter side of the business.

The problem we exist to fix

When you look up a genuine GM part at a dealer-parts retailer, the product listing often shows the raw fitment shorthand straight out of GM’s catalog — lines like “Disc brakes without sierra c3 or denali 3/4 & 1 ton” — with no plain-language explanation of what it means or what it actually fits. Those storefronts run on the same catalog data and rarely translate it. If you already read EPC shorthand, that’s fine. If you don’t, it’s a wall between you and the right part.

What we do differently

We take that dealer/EPC shorthand and turn it into plain English at the level of the individual part — what the part is, what it fits, and what part numbers it supersedes. Every spec on a part page is traced to a real, dated source. When a source doesn’t state something — like the exact model years a part covers — we say so plainly and tell you to confirm it, rather than inventing a range to look more complete. Honest gaps beat confident guesses.

We publish in verified batches and we don’t pad the site with thin, near-duplicate pages to look bigger than it is. What’s live is real; the rest is queued and honestly labeled.
